D2L Dropbox is a game-changer for students and instructors alike, making it easy to submit assignments, collaborate on group projects, and share files.
To access D2L Dropbox, simply click on the Dropbox icon in the navigation bar. From there, you can upload your assignments directly to your instructor's dropbox folder.
You can also use D2L Dropbox to share files with your classmates, making it a great tool for group projects. Just click on the "Share" button and enter your group members' email addresses.
D2L Dropbox allows you to upload a wide range of file types, including documents, images, and videos.
Submitting Assignments
Submitting assignments is a breeze in D2L, and you can use the Assignments/Dropbox tool to submit your work to your instructor.
Most remote courses will require you to submit larger assignments, such as essays or projects, which can be done within D2L using the Assignments/Dropbox tool.
You can watch a video for instructions on how to use the tool to submit your assignments, so don't worry if you're new to online learning.
The video will walk you through the process step by step, making it easy to understand and follow along.
Learning Tools
D2L Dropbox offers various learning tools that can enhance your online learning experience.
With D2L Dropbox, you can access your course materials and assignments from anywhere, at any time, using your mobile device or computer.
The dropbox allows you to easily upload and submit assignments, and even collaborate with classmates on group projects.
Quiz Yourself
Take a few minutes to quiz yourself on the basics of D2L Dropbox. You can click on your desired class and then the Dropbox link in the navigation bar to get started.
The Folder column holds all the assignments that need to be turned in. You'll notice different types of symbols next to the assignment folders.
The symbol to the right of an assignment folder means that it's set up for an Originality Check, so professors can verify your work is 100% yours.
In a group Dropbox assignment, any one person can submit something, but the score and feedback will be given to everyone in the group.
If a professor hasn't entered your grade yet, the Score column will show a dash instead of a number.
Brightspace
Brightspace is a learning management system (LMS) that helps educators create and deliver engaging online courses. It's a popular choice among educational institutions worldwide.
Brightspace offers a range of features that make it an effective tool for online learning, including analytics and grading tools that help instructors track student progress and performance.
Grading and Feedback
Grading and feedback are a crucial part of the learning process, and D2L Dropbox makes it easy to provide students with timely and thoughtful feedback.
To grade files in a Dropbox folder, click on the Folder Name to access the Folder Submissions Page, where you can search for specific student submissions, view the list of students and their submissions, or change the tab to see a list of submitted files.
You can open the file and the corresponding assessment window by clicking on the title of the file, and from there, you can enter the student's score and provide a variety of feedback.
There are several types of feedback you can offer students in Dropbox, including text comments, which can be provided using the Feedback box in the Dropbox evaluation file.
You can also upload comments files, such as those made on MS Word, by clicking on the Add a File button below the Feedback box.
Additionally, you can include audio commentary, which can be a time-saving method that forces you to be concise and provide more detailed feedback than typing.
Here are the different types of feedback you can offer students in Dropbox:
- Text Comments: Use the Feedback box in the Dropbox evaluation file.
- Upload Comments File: Click on the Add a File button below the Feedback box.
- Audio Commentary: Click Record Audio below the Feedback box and follow onscreen instructions.
- Video Commentary: Click on the Insert Stuff button within the Feedback Box, select My Media, and follow onscreen instructions.
- Review Sessions: Use Blackboard Collaborate for interactive online discussions.
Once you've finished providing feedback and scoring the assignment, click the blue button labeled "submit." If you've associated the Dropbox Folder with a Grade Item, the student's score will be posted to the Gradebook automatically.
