How to Turn Off Memories in OneDrive and Stop Unwanted Notifications

If you're tired of getting unwanted notifications from OneDrive's Memories feature, you can turn it off.

To start, head to the OneDrive settings by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner of the OneDrive app or website.

From the settings menu, select the "Memories" section to view and manage your Memories settings.

Turning off Memories will prevent OneDrive from automatically creating and sending you notifications about your photos and videos.

You can stop OneDrive from sending you emails about On This Day memories by going to the OneDrive website and signing in with your Microsoft account.

Sign in to your OneDrive account and go to the Settings cogwheel in the top-right corner to choose Options.

Select the Notifications tab and uncheck “On this day memories are available.” Click or tap Save at the bottom, and you’re done.

OneDrive will no longer send you email notifications about “On this day” memories.

If you seldom use OneDrive, you can disable it from launching as your computer starts.

Go to the Apps > Startup and toggle off OneDrive from the list of apps.

Disabling OneDrive notifications on Windows will not affect mobile apps, so you'll need to disable them separately.

Open the OneDrive app on your phone and tap on the Me icon at the bottom right.

Under the Photos section, turn off On this day and memories from last month.

You can stop OneDrive from sending emails about On This Day memories by going to the OneDrive website in your favorite web browser and signing in with the Microsoft account you're using for OneDrive.

To access the OneDrive settings, click or tap the Settings cogwheel in the top-right corner and choose Options in the menu.

On the left sidebar, select Notifications, and on the right, uncheck “On this day memories are available.”

Click or tap Save at the bottom, and you’re done.

Now that you've disabled OneDrive memories notification on Windows, it's time to tackle the mobile apps. Disabling notifications on Windows won't affect mobile apps, so you'll need to do it separately.

To disable OneDrive memories notification on your phone, open the OneDrive app and tap on the Me icon at the bottom right.

You'll then see a menu that allows you to customize your notifications. Under the Photos section, you can turn off the On this day and memories from last month options to stop receiving these notifications.

OneDrive's Memories are a feature that can be quite annoying for some users. They show notifications for memories on your device.

To turn off these notifications, you need to access the OneDrive Settings window. Click or tap the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray, which is located in the bottom-right corner of the taskbar.

In the OneDrive window that opens, click or tap the Settings cogwheel icon and choose Settings from the subsequent menu. This will open the OneDrive Settings window.

To disable memories notifications, select Notifications on the left sidebar and look for the switch called Notify me when “On this day” memories are available. By default, this switch is turned On.

Click or tap on it to turn Off your OneDrive memories notifications.

If you're not using the link, you can click on the cog in the upper-right corner and go to Options > Notifications.

You'll see several choices for Send me email when, and you should uncheck the box next to On this day memories are available.

This will disable the notification for On this day memories.
