MGM Resorts International, one of the world's leading hospitality and entertainment companies, has been experiencing recent outages that have left many users wondering when they'll be back online.

The recent outages were caused by a combination of technical issues and planned maintenance, which affected MGM's online services, including their website and mobile app.

MGM has a team of experts working around the clock to resolve the issues and get their online services back up and running as soon as possible.

According to MGM's official statement, they are working to complete the necessary repairs and testing to ensure a smooth and seamless online experience for their users.

MGM Casino Systems Issues

MGM Resorts International casinos are still dealing with interruptions from a cyberattack earlier this week.

The MGM website is online and operating in a limited capacity, but other hiccups remain in customer-facing operations.

Mobile check-in and digital keys are still unavailable, and the resort company is giving guests physical keys at the front desk.

Guests with reservations through Sunday can cancel with no charge or penalty.

To check out of a room, guests must drop their room keys into an Express Check-out box, and a digital copy of the folio will be sent out once computer systems are fully operational.

Poker rooms and casino floors are operating, but patrons should expect the possibility of the ticket-in and ticket-out system going offline.

ATM withdrawals with PINs are currently available, but cash advances and check cashing are not available.

For MGM Rewards members, points are unavailable for use at MGM properties.

Despite this, the company encourages guests to use their rewards card when playing slots or present it at table games.

Members’ gaming and nongaming spending will be recorded and tier credits, as well as any changes to tier status, will be updated in members' accounts when the systems are back online.

MGM said it did not have any information about whether the data of MGM patrons was exposed.

The investigation is ongoing, and the company is “working diligently to evaluate the scope and nature of the issue.”

BetMGM alerted its customers to the outage this morning, stating they are experiencing temporary issues due to global IT outages.

The outage has likely affected all of the states where BetMGM is operational, with users greeted with a message claiming that “something went wrong.”

MGM Resorts' hotels and casinos are back up and running normally following last week's cyber incident.

Hotel operations have been disrupted for more than 10 days following an cyberattack which involved criminal hackers gaining access to the hotel’s computer systems through social engineering.

Hotel reservations are now available through MGM's website and its mobile app, the company's communications director stated in an email to Channel 13.

MGM Rewards members should continue booking reservations through MGM's Reservation Call Center.

The hack is under investigation by law enforcement and the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

MGM has not officially identified a perpetrator or cause, but a group called "VX-Underground" posted on social media that the ransomware group "ALPHV" — A.K.A. Black Cat — is behind the attack.

They posted they took over $33 billion.

The hacker or hackers found an MGM employee on LinkedIn, called the company's Help Desk impersonating that employee, and were able to hack MGM's system in the span of a 10-minute phone call.
